Skywarn Online Training - May 7 and May 16 2014

    The Binghamton Office of the National Weather Service has posted two online Webinar training sessions for Basic Skywarn Training.

    The times are 7:30PM to 8:30PM on both days.

    The training is done by NWS Forecasters via GoTo Meeting.

    and they have asked that this class information be disseminated as widely as possible.

    If you are interested, sign up. Its worth an hour of your time for the information.

    I like the idea of using webinars to conduct this type of training.

    Everyone should take Skywarn training if only for personal safety!

    That last line should be the biggest selling point for Skywarn Training.

    Too many Hams, and many people in general, blow off this kind of training thinking that its not for me.

    Those are the ones that usually need to be rescued because their brains start writing checks their bodies can't cash.

    Exactly. We've talked up the Skywarn training in our area to general public and especially the scouting organizations.
