I've been doing HazMat response since 1991 and the Emergency Response Guide (ERG) has been an invaluable tool to me. I always kept a hard copy on my desk at work and in my car.

Now in the 21st century, they have made "an app for that." Available for Windows, Android, and Apple; the ERG app not only makes looking up things easy by name, hazard class, and UN #, but also includes handy tools that allows you to determine evacuation distances from downloaded positions and manually inputed wind data. They even provide a map showing the affected areas based on location data from the device as well as environmental inputs and chemical data. Well worth the FREE download.

Thanks. Living near a major east west highway, this could be helpful.
